I like DC characters; I just hate DC

I'm Amy, a white multisexual atheist vegetarian cis female physics major. I spend most of my time fangirling Connor Hawke, Jason Todd and Cassandra Cain. This blog is sex-positive, body positive, QUILTBAG positive, anti-racism, anti-misogyny, anti-ableism, anti-oppression in general, anti-whatever fuckery DC is pulling now, and pro-Missing-E. Check out http://daggerpen.livejournal.com/tag/fanfiction for my fics.

Please also tag for Fabian Nicieza and Grant Morrison, as well as the issue numbers of the arcs in which they both butchered Jason's characterization, as well as for typical trigger warnings. I am very serious about this- I unfollow people who don't fucking tag.

I am likewise willing to tag for anything. I do my best to tag for anything that might generally be a problem for someone, but if I'm posting something you need to Savior, just drop me an ask and I'll do my best.

This is an anti-Babsgirl blog.

Ugh. I’m going to have to buy a Grant M*rrison comic, aren’t I?

Whyyyy does his final appearance have to be by M*rrison? Why? I hate everything he writes and frankly just him as a person. He completely fucked up Jason in B&R, made Talia into an evil rapist, completely failed to write a single depiction of Damian that was worth the time of day despite creating him (And I like Damian. I love him. Just with any other writer), writes a horrid Joker, and has some of the most incoherent, badly characterized comics I’ve ever seen. He routinely sacrifices any semblance of proper characterization or coherent narrative for symbolism, nevermind that there is no goddamn point to a comic with symbolism alone. Everything of his I’ve seen has been an exercise in literary masturbation and, frequently, feeding his own obvious fetish for facial mutilation, which, hey, whatever floats his boat, but not at the expense of a proper comic. I hate his stuff so much that I fucking Tumblr Saviored his name, hence why I have it censored here so Savior doesn’t eat any reblogs. Even his supposed masterpieces are full of wildly problematic stuff and pointless symbolism. Perhaps some of his older stuff was good, but he has not written anything worthwhile in a long long time.

And he’s writing possibly the very last appearance ever of Connor Hawke.

And I am going to buy it anyways, despite my having vowed to never buy anything by M*rrison ever after what he did to Jason, because I want to support Connor.

Agh.
