I’ve been doing them for so long, and it always seemed like it was making my point properly and just generally being a good thing- Connor was whitewashed, now he’s as dark as he should be- but after that discussion with stopwhitewashing that never really resolved one way or another, I’m kind of wondering… am I just brownfacing the art? I mean, his features are usually whitewashed too, and I really have no ability to change that, but… could making him closer to how he is actually supposed to look and undoing his bleached-as-fuck skintone really be worse than just leaving it alone? The last thing I want is to do brown/blackface, but… he is brown, goddammit.
I donno. Could I maybe get some thoughts on this?
(If you do not know Connor Hawke’s actual ethnicity, please just… look it up before you respond to this. I am getting really tired of explaining that he is brown as fuck despite his blonde hair and so very much *not* white goddammit.)
